Emergency Room
The Emergency Department at Okanogan Douglas is a level IV Trauma designated care center. It provides 24-hour service for anyone requesting emergent, urgent and non-urgent medical care. Patients are triaged for acuity, evaluated via a medial screening exam and treated. Depending on conditions, the patient may be treated and discharged with follow-up instructions, admitted to acute care for further treatment and evaluation; or stabilized and transferred to another facility. Patients will multi-system trauma injuries, complicated head injuries, burns, and cardiac events requiring a higher level of care, are transferred.
