WHAT IS CARDIAC REHABILITATION?
CARDIAC REHABILITATION is a comprehensive long-term program that involves a medical evaluation, ECG monitored exercise and education and counseling.
We are here to help patients modify and reduce their cardiovascular risk factors. Our goal is to limit the physical and emotional effects of cardiac illness, and reduce the risk for sudden cardiac death or another heart attack
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR CARDIAC REHABILITATION?
A person qualifies for CARDIAC REHABILITATION if they have had a recent:
- Heart attack
- Stent placement
- Coronary artery bypass grafting
- Stable chest pain
- Heart transplant
A referral is needed to participate in CARDIAC REHABILITATION. For a referral into CARDIAC REHABILITATION talk to your medical provider or give us a call at 509-645-3324. Medicare does cover cardiac rehabilitation and most other private insurers do cover the service. Talk to your insurance company or any of our program staff to help you navigate your insurance benefits.
HOW MANY SESSIONS DO I ATTEND?
A patient can attend the program for up to thirty-six sessions. The number of sessions attended depends on patient's disease severity and need. Our cardiac classes are offered two days per week.

WHAT IS PULMONARY REHABILITATION?
PULMONARY REHABILITATION is a comprehensive intervention for patients with chronic respiratory disease who are symptomatic and often have decreased daily activities. Pulmonary rehabilitation is designed to reduce patient's symptoms such as shortness of breath, optimize their physical functioning, improve their quality of live, and reduce their healthcare costs.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR PULMONARY REHABILITATION?

Therefore, patients need to meet certain pulmonary function testing criteria. Examples of medical diagnoses that are covered include:
- Obstructive disorders such as COPD (including alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency), persistent asthma, bronchiectasis, or cystic fibrosis.
- Restrictive diseases such as interstitial lung diseases, chest wall diseases, neuromuscular diseases with a pulmonary impairment.
- Other conditions such as lung cancer, pre and post lung transplant, pre and post lung reduction surgery, obesity related respiratory disease, autoimmune disorders with a pulmonary involvement, ventilator dependence, or children and youth with respiratory disease.
A referral is required to enter the program. For a referral into PULMONARY REHABILITATION talk to your medical provider or give us a call at 509-645-3324.
