Okanogan Douglas Hospital
Belinda Denchfield, recognized at Wenatchee Valley College for academic achievement, leadership qualities, work accomplishments and community activities, has accepted a position as RN with Okanogan Douglas Hospital in Brewster.
Originally from London, England, Belinda worked for 11 years with Outward Bound in Mazama teaching personal development and group leadership. She also worked as a wilderness first responder for the fire department. She enjoyed helping people so she decided nursing was a good career path. She graduated from WVC in 2005.
Having taken her clinicals (part of training) at ODH and finding the hospital to be most welcoming and friendly, she immediately accepted a position with ODH upon graduation. She loves the diversity common in a rural hospital. “One minute, you’re working in OB with a baby and the next minute, you’re off to a 55 year old woman,” said Belinda.
While Belinda’s future plans might possibly include utilizing her healthcare knowledge in a third world setting, she is currently settling in to a nice routine with ODH and The County Clinic in Winthrop.
Belinda lives in Winthrop with her significant other, Ben and their dog, Oggie.
