Pharmaceutical services include pharmaceutical procurement, preparation, distribution, storage and control of all drugs throughout the hospital. The pharmacy must maintain a system of accountability of drugs, IV solutions, chemicals, radiopharmaceuticals and biological pharmaceuticals. The Pharmacist monitors drug therapy, adverse drug reactions, prepares all sterile products, participates in discharge planning and provides drug information to patients, physicians and others.
