RESPIRATORY THERAPY SERVICES
Respiratory Services provides care to inpatients and outpatients with disorders of the cardiopulmonary system. They evaluate new patients as needed, perform routine treatments and procedures to maintain or improve cardiopulmonary function, attend codes, give airway support as needed and set up and maintain critical care equipment such as ventilations and oxygen delivery to newborns. Respiratory therapists also do diagnostic and therapeutic procedures such as pulmonary function tests, EKG’s and ardiac stress tests along with providing patient education. All care is provided upon the prescription and under the supervisor of a licensed physician.
