Relay for Life Team Announces
Used Cell Phone Drive and Other Fundraisers
The Well Wishers, the Relay for Life team sponsored by Three Rivers Community Alliance and Okanogan Douglas Hospital, is encouraging people to donate their used cell phones. The program gives money for phones collected, from 25 cents to $35.00. Almost everyone has a used cell phone or two around the house, so why not put them to good use? Phones may be dropped off at the admitting desk at Okanogan Douglas District Hospital, Brewster Medical Center or Harmony House.
The Relay for Life Cancer Walk is one way our local community works to raise money. Members of the Well Wishers Team of the TRCA and ODDH Relay for Life Cancer Team have been busy with numerous fundraisers to benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event scheduled for Friday, May 14th and Saturday, May 15th at the Okanogan High School. The next fundraiser will be a Lasagna Feed scheduled for Friday, April 9th with takeout orders available. And, the highly popular Silent Auction will be held on Friday, May 7th.
